Diagnostics


The Pemiscot County Special School District provides the community with a professional, full-service educational, and psychological diagnostic center. By establishing an inventory of the talents and skills unique to each individual, proper diagnostic assessment defines a foundation for further efforts to help that individual realize his or her potential for learning and psychological development.














  • The Diagnostic Center offers all levels of assessment batteries to meet the individual needs of each client from childhood to adulthood. Services range from a basic update of academic achievement to full psychological and psycho educational evaluations.

Psychological Evaluation and Diagnosis.

 

Psycho Educational Evaluation and Diagnosis of Learning Disorders

 

Independent Educational Evaluations by Referral.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Referrals are made to the Diagnostic Center by the component districts of Pemiscot County through the special education process outlined by federal and state regulations.     The Diagnostic Center completes initial evaluations and re-evaluations, identifying students in all the disability categories identified by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. These categories are: Autism, Deaf/Blind, Emotional Disturbance, Hearing Impairment/Deafness, Mental Retardation/Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impaired, Learning Disabilities, Language Impairment, Sound System Disorder, Speech/Fluency, Speech/Voice, Traumatic Brain Injury, Vision Impairment and Young Child with a Developmental Delay.
